Flexible approach of the engineer
Vital Centre provides all the facilities you would expect in terms of exercise and wellness with two modern fitness and sports centres and more than 60 employees. Director Edwin Ophof asked for a flexible approach from engineer Winkels Techniek with the servicing and maintenance of electrical and mechanical installations, partly due to the long opening hours.
Collaboration
Ophof carried out business with Winkels Techniek, formerly called Disselhorst Installatietechniek, from the very beginning in Raalte. “Well, Raalte knows Raalte,” laughed Ophof, who spoke of a perfect collaboration with his installation firm.
Constant urgency
Flexibility and short lines of communication are crucial to Ophof because Vital Centre is open virtually day and night. “If I call my engineer, I’m always in a rush. I can’t wait half a day. Winkels is great because they act straightaway,” said Ophof and highlighted: “Last week, for example, we had to deal with a faulty pipe. One phone call and fifteen minutes later and there was a mechanic on our doorstep.”
Boiler replaced
The long opening hours mean that maintenance needs to take place outside of regular working hours. “Winkels recently replaced the boiler from the hot water installation in the early hours of the morning. The large boiler with a capacity of 480 litres meant this was a big job, especially since parts had to be disassembled to get the boiler in place. The men weren’t finished until after 2:00 in the morning. This flexibility is greatly appreciated,” said Ophof.
Solving problems quickly
The director believes it as a great advantage that Winkels knows his business inside out. “This means they know how to solve problems really quickly. I am also satisfied with the clear communication and proper agreements with clarity in advance about the price. The people from Winkels listen and contribute. For example, the new regulations that we have to comply with.”
